Individual psychotherapy starts with a 15-minute video consultation. Be ready to share why you are seeking psychotherapy, what you’ve tried so far, what you’re looking for in psychotherapy, and your questions for me. If we both decide that we are a good fit, the next step is a comprehensive intake.
To prepare for the comprehensive intake, you’ll fill out paperwork describing your medical and psychological history, your family medical and psychological history, your current symptoms, your current behaviors and lifestyle, and your goals for treatment. During the 55-minute intake consultation, we’ll discuss your paperwork and create a dynamic treatment plan. Your treatment plan might be a referral to another mental health provider, including a psychiatrist or a different psychologist. I don’t treat active substance abuse disorders, active eating disorders that are medically unstable, active psychosis, or those in need of treatment for legal reasons. I am able and willing to provide treatment to you if you are seeking treatment to manage self-harm behaviors and suicidal thoughts if you are currently in treatment with a psychiatrist with whom I can consult.
Once we decide that we are beginning treatment together, we will decide on our therapeutic frame, including our appointment time and frequency. We’ll discuss how to know whether treatment is working and I’ll recommend that you start monitoring your progress through Blueprint Health.
Individual psychotherapy cadence with me ranges from twice per week to once per month, depending on the severity of your symptoms and your goals.
I am happy to discuss how treatment is going at any point in our process and can make referrals to other providers during or at the end of our work together, as needed.
The comprehensive intake lasts 55-minutes and costs $265. Ongoing psychotherapy appointments last 55-minutes and cost $265. I take FSA, HRA, and HSA. I also work with a company called Reimbursify that helps you get reimbursed for the appointments using your out-of-network benefits. Download the app and get your first claim free.

Community Time is a free weekly meeting for those who work with me. During Community Time, you’ll introduce yourself by describing in what way you are working on your mental health and what you’ve done recently to relate to your mental health well.
The weekly topic is based on the weekly newsletter and includes both teaching and the chance to discuss how the concept applies to your life.
At the end of Community Time, you’ll make a commitment to behavior that either increases your functioning or increases your distress tolerance. You’ll describe what helps you maintain motivation and hope.
If you are interested in joining Community Time, please book an individual psychotherapy consultation with me to ensure that you are a good fit.
